WHAT IS THEATRE BRIDGE?

THEatreBRIDGE is a six week program based in Sydney. This is an ‘audition only’ program designed to bridge from the student mindset to that of a professional working artist.

Season Four kicks off 14 July and runs Monday to Thursday each week – applications are now open.

Who is it for?

Our main purpose is to be a bridge between performers who have graduated from training institutes, into their first experience in the professional industry.

These include:

  • Graduates from a Bachelor MT degree
  • Graduates from a full-time dance course
  • Graduates from a full-time acting course or degree
  • Newly professionally represented performers (inc. non graduates)

The THEatreBRIDGE program cultivates the mindset of a professional artist. With the guidance of true Australian leaders in their respective theatrical fields, you will learn how to successfully present yourself as a readily employable musical theatre performer.

This is a sustained program. The timeline enables participants to grow and develop skills throughout the course, with continued opportunities to put into practice the lessons over consecutive weeks.

Performers in the THEatreBRIDGE program work directly in the room with industry creatives who have iconic status in the commercial theatre world.

The skills required for a versatile and productive Musical Theatre career are most successful when built on a solid self-awareness. This brings your best mindset to the work. The program breaks down existing beliefs and practices that restrict being truly present in performance.

Our faculty is made up of internationally renowned leading theatrical creatives, many of whom are rarely accessible in this and form professional connections beyond existing networks.
